“The Answer”

The Answer — A True Story, is based on the life of Swami Kriyananda and his quest for truth. In 1948, at the age of 22, Kriyananda read Autobiography of a Yogi and traveled across the country to meet Paramhansa Yogananda, who immediately accepted Kriyananda as his disciple. Swami Kriyananda later came to be known as a world renowned teacher, yogi, writer and the founder of the Ananda communities.

Set in the 1930s, 40s and 50s, the movie has been shot across three continents — India, USA, and Europe — in places like Los Angeles, Nevada City, Bucharest, Sinaia, Brasov, Switzerland, and Calcutta. Swami Kriyananda left this earth for his heavenly abode on April 21st, 2013 in Assisi, Italy.

This film is the first time that the part of Paramhansa Yogananda will be enacted on the big screen. Victor Banerjee, the internationally acclaimed actor, is playing the role.
